Not short-term, but right - our principle
FSM doesn't follow short-lived trends, but stays true to the essence: seating furniture that does more than just look good in the long run. Each of our products incorporates a sophisticated technical innovation that creates real added value beyond the design.
That's why we combine proven craftsmanship with continuous development. For us, innovation means not just new ideas, but also a willingness to learn and change. We don't wait for success - we actively shape it.
We contribute to the quality of life with aesthetically pleasing and functional furniture. That's our goal, and we're proud of it.
FSM has always set standards in seating comfort and durability. Each of our pieces of furniture combines high-quality materials with intelligent, comfort-oriented features - often invisibly integrated into the design, but always noticeable in daily use. This creates seating that not only impresses visually, but also offers a relaxing seating experience and enjoyment.
Philosophy
Environment

FSM is committed to sustainable action and environmentally friendly production. Our goal is to use resources responsibly and continuously minimize our ecological impact. As a consistent continuation of our long-standing environmental principles, we have established a management system that ensures environmentally friendly production. We continuously record and optimize raw material and energy consumption to make our processes even more sustainable.

Racks:
The steel structures are untreated and fully recyclable.
Upholstery:
The polyurethane foam used is steam-foamed and CFC-free.
Adhesives:
A significant proportion of the adhesives used are based on water-soluble components. Solvent-reduced adhesives are used for technically demanding bonding applications.
Mechanics:
All moving parts are screwed together and can be easily replaced.
Wear parts:
All wearing parts (e.g. gas spring) are easily replaceable.

The goal of ecodesign is to minimize a product's environmental impact. The life cycle of upholstered furniture encompasses material manufacturing, production, use, and finally, disposal. Particular emphasis is placed on the durability of the materials used.
Unlike household appliances, the largest ecological footprint of upholstered furniture occurs not during use, but during the production of raw materials such as leather and foam. Therefore, FSM relies on a comprehensive eco-design checklist during product development that evaluates in-house manufactured parts, purchased components, and production processes.
One example: FSM dyes leather exclusively in aqueous systems - completely free of solvents. Since 1985, the company has been processing chrome-reduced and solvent-free leathers that far exceed German environmental standards.
We are masters in everything we do and produce unique sculptures in Swiss craftsmanship.
